Welcome back to Harbor Shores Golf Club, home of the 84th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship this week and a familiar venue for the major over the past 12 years. The course has held the championship six times since 2012.

By hosting for a sixth time, Harbor Shores has held the championship the third most of any course in the major’s history, trailing only the two different PGA National Golf Courses in Florida (1945-1962 in Dunedin, 1964, 1966-1973, and 1982-2000 in Palm Beach Gardens.)

Roger Chapman won the first time the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship visited Harbor Shores, building up an impressive nine-shot lead during the front nine Sunday before winning by two over John Cook at 13 under par. Chapman's margin of victory is the smallest the venue has seen in its six times holding the championship.

Two years later, Colin Montgomerie won his first of back-to-back KitchenAid Senior PGA titles at Harbor Shores in 2014, when he matched Chapman’s winning score of 13 under to beat Tom Watson by four strokes.

Rocco Mediate won the 2016 championship, at 19 under par a stroke shy of the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship scoring record set by Sam Snead in 1973. Mediate bested the defending champion Montgomerie by three strokes.

In 2018, Paul Broadhurst won at Harbor Shores by matching Mediate's near-record score at 19 under par. Broadhurst beat Tim Petrovic by four strokes.

The last time Harbor Shores hosted in 2022, Steven Alker won by three strokes at 16 under par over Stephen Ames. Alker's closing 63 tied the best final round in the major's history.

Starting Thursday, the 156-player field will aim to add their own lore to Harbor Shores KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship storied history.
