Cameron Doan, the PGA Director of Golf at Preston Trail Golf Club in nearby Dallas, had the honor of hitting the opening tee shot at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco and the 2023 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in Frisco, Texas.

A member of the Northern Texas PGA Section and 2018 PGA of America Bill Strausbaugh Award, Doan kicked off the second major of the PGA Tour Champions.
It's also the first Major Championship contested on the Gil Hanse-designed Fields Ranch East course at PGA Frisco.
